My Grand Scheme

Live healthy into my eighties. That is the long and short of it, my grand scheme. Any money I need has been made, saved, invested and is available so I don’t worry about that. Yes, I worked, sweat, scrambled, and kept appointments for what I have. I also kept my wants meager, therefore to save.

In essence, I have no grand scheme as “grand” schemes are just that: GRAND! I played the odds by doing what my father did before me: kept my nose to the grind stone and worked hours a day. In the entirety of my life I have only had one traffic ticket and that in San Francisco by an S.F. Motorcycle cop.

Your scheme should be honest, uncomplicated and true to justice. The just are those who don’t hurt others. The ones who go the extra mile to help out neighbors and family. Sounds deliciously old fashioned doesn’t it? It is the way I was brought up. I have slacked off as my family died off until I am the only one left. I speak of my birth family here, not my wife and children. We are still doing well though I can’t say any of us are really happy about current events. Not much we can do about the world though is there?

Were we able to influence the world what would be first on your agenda? Careful with this one! You don’t want to provide a catalyst for explosives.
