Self-Replication

If a person was to invent something worthwhile you’d think it would be self-replication with a self-replicator, wouldn’t you? I mean, automobiles are great but it takes a workforce to build them and a lot of discipline to make them replicate one another. A self-replicator is just what the doctor ordered so a person dying of some disease would have some kind of a way out. How much would a self-replication device cost?

If the government made them they might be free but they might not work well either. It should be a major corporation like General Electric but the government would have to try to keep the cost down with GE also.

Then again, how many Hitler’s do we need? More Putins? How about another Gregory Peck? That would be wonderful if the new one also played Atticus Finch in: “To Kill a Mockingbird.”

Lastly, we are probably fortunate in the extreme that nobody has invented a sef-replicator as there is never going to be another like the original. Just a senile old guy’s rant or, you might say, a little circular logic.
