As to Topics
One might easily suppose that we have infinite topics to write about. The question becomes, in infinity, what is interesting? All or separate and distinct topics? One might also, and correctly, suppose that infinite topics would take more than one blog to cover. It comes down to choice it would seem.
Time is yet another factor both for websites and life itself. At seventy-eight years (this month) I will not get to all topics possible to write about so that leaves me what I know and what I find of interest. I suppose I could speak of getting old and looking toward infirmity but that isn’t what I am about now is it. Nah, I would much rather write about stupidity as I could easily fill the Grand Canyon with enough bytes about stupidity. Actually, that would get boring after a week or less.
This is to say that I pick what I write about from the air and sometimes the news. Never my nose, so don’t even go there! It is a rather stuffy world isn’t it? Every time we turn around some fool is angry about something. This is, one might suppose, why the word, fool, was invented. As my Mom used to say, If you can’t find something good to say, shut the hell up! If you didn’t say something good after she said that, you would feel a sharp pain where ever she could reach you with hand or utensil. A good way to grow up by any measure.
I will pick and choose subjects as I go. All politics is fair game as I am partyless and enjoy the objectivity that allows. I like Republicans and would love to like Democrats as I used to be one but can find no basis for anything they say they stand for any longer. I left them after I came home from two tours of Vietnam combat. Twas they who started that war and then decided to lose it without cause to lose it. A give up plus . . . the hell with the thousands of dead young men of American descent. Truth be told I hate the bastards now.
I will be cautious about what I write here but will call them as I see them. Combat will shrink a persons tolerance for stupidity and sloppiness. Those two things get people killed. That is it for now and who the hell knows what will come from me next? I don’t!
